We are partnering with God's Care Ministries, a nonprofit in Kyenjojo, that has been a pillar in the community for more than a decade. They serve the community through their church, orphanage, elementary school, medical center, microfinancing and agriculture programs. The organization has helped to change the lives of hundreds of children and countless community members through their programming.
We are excited to be working with both the community and this organization in Kyenjojo and the surrounding villages. Located in western Uganda, about 200km from the capitol city of Kampala, Kyenjojo, a city with a population of 18,600, is the district seat of Kyenjojo region. The languages spoken in the area include Rutooro, Luganda, Swahili and English. It is a rural and agriculturally-focused area where you can find some Ugandan staples like cassava, matooke, sorghum, passion fruit, ground nuts and tea being grown.
