Sponsor a Child

What we're about

At Abantu Together we want our donors to be able to experience the impact their contributions have on the development of the people in the community of Kyenjojo. We offer the opportunity to be part in a child’s future through our full sponsorship program.  Abantu Together gives donors the option of selecting a child or to have a child randomly assigned.  Individuals participating in a full sponsorship will receive regular communication and updates about their child’s journey through life. For those wanting to give more directly to our ministry, we offer a number of monthly and one-time payment options.

Our Sponsorship Levels

Our desire is that anyone who wants to contribute to our sponsorship program, regardless of their financial situation, is able to. Working closely with God's Care Ministries in Uganda we were able to determine that It takes $50 a month to fully sponsor a child.  This includes medical, education, food, and housing expenses for the child being sponsored.  If you are unable to fully sponsor a child we have other options available for sponsorship that can have a big impact on a child's life.

Golden Crowned Crane Level (Full Sponsorship)- $50 a month

The Golden Crowned Crane [or Grey Crowned Crane] was chosen as Uganda's national emblem. The crane represents the people of Uganda themselves; their beauty, elegance, and calm nature. The Grey Crowned Crane holds prime positions on the country's national flag and coat of arms.

Boda Boda Level- $25 a month

Boda Bodas are very common forms of transportation in Uganda, and can be either a bicycle or motorcycle.  Boda Bodas not only create a safer road for citizens in Uganda, but also the rise of the Boda Boda has given way to countless new opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.

Matooke Level- $10 a month

Matooke is a variety of banana indigenous to southwest Uganda. It is a staple food for the locals and is similar to mashed potatoes. Instead of a potato, Matooke is made of boiled and mashed plantains wrapped in a banana leaf. It is available almost everywhere and served with every meal--even with eggs for breakfast!

Praying scripture Over Our Children

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17

Stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.  May our LORD Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through His grace gave us everlasting comfort and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
